Both of her parents are multilingual. Her mother is Moroccan and originates from Morocco while her Spanish-born father originates from Spain. As a result she speaks four languages including Arabic, English, Spanish as well as German. In the beginning, she was planning to pursue a career in journalism, but was then scouted for modeling career. She was Marisa in The Young and the Restless and also starred alongside Gina Rodriguez and Justin Baldoni in the CW Telenovela Jane the Virgin.
