Jenna Fischer was best known for her role as Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. Her role on The Office earned her an Emmy nomination for Most Outstanding Supporting Actress category. In addition, she was awarded two SAG Awards, both for exceptional performances in an ensemble comedy.
The girl was born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she spent most of her childhood at St. Louis Missouri. Jenna grew up watching her mother Anne performing in church plays. The experience instilled a passion for theater.
After finishing The Office, Fischer, who is a trained actress in the theater, went back to her home base. She starred with Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway play Reasons to be Happy. In the following play, she was in Steve Martin's latest play Meteor Shower. It was an absurd comedy piece starring Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for record breaking time at Old Globe Theatre.
The Office's Angela Kinsey (the character mate to Fischer) and her best friend in real life Angela Kinsey, who is from The Office, started a podcast back in October. The show was called Office Ladies. The show is now extremely well-known and has been a part of the Top Ten every single week. In its initial year, it had over 200 million downloads. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Years award in January of 2021.
The Actor's Life is her first novel, and describes the path she traveled to get from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood, where she became an actor professionally. Her next book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography about her best friend and her experience in The Office.
