Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast and she holds the record for being recognized with 10/10 scores at an Olympic performance. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor who was later Comaneci's coach who first came across Comaneci at the age of six. Her first competition was in the national junior championships where she placed 13th in 1969. In 1970, she was crowned champion. In 1972, during an event for communist-controlled countries' junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she took home three medals of gold. In 1973 and 1974 she won the all-around junior champ. In 1975 she was awarded four golds and one silver in her first senior international competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. In 1976, she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and was the first female in history to dismount the bars in parallel with the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Carol Wayne's journey to the world of entertainment started as a teenager. With her sister Nina Wayne, she joined touring entertainment programs that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol entered the entertainment industry as a teenager. She started her career performing figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment shows Ice Capades. These shows included ice skating performances that were accompanied by theatrical music.
