Melina Kannakaredes was born in New York city. She has played the roles of Dr. Sydney Hansen (NBC) and the character Dr. Lane Hunter (The Resident) in both medical dramas that aired on TV. She received critical acclaim in her portrayal of Eleni Anderson Cooper in her first TV role on CBS' soap drama Guiding Light. 15 Minutes Percy Jackson and The Olympians The Lightning Thief and Snitch are among her most notable films parts. The Wheel of Life, written by Elisabeth Kubler Ross and adapted to a movie with Vlas Parlapanides (the duo who came up with The Immortals) is believed to be in the works.
